This might be a dumb question, but does anyone else struggle with figuring out which formulas or equations you're supposed to memorize cold and which ones will be provided on the exam sheet? I'm reviewing physics heavy sections and sometimes I can't tell if I should be drilling the equations into memory or just focusing on how to apply them, I don't want to waste time memorizing something that'll be handed to me... but I also don't want to get blindsided on test day
Is there a general rule for this? or does it just depend on the exam board or the practice materials you're using?
